Smallholder rural farmers are the highest producer of food that are locally consumed by Nigerians. These farmers face challenges and we decided that for the ones we can reach, access to inputs shouldn’t be part of the challenges they are facing.
Our wet season farming input distribution exercise started in June of 2021 where rice and soybeans inputs were distributed to 200 smallholder rural farmers across various communities. The inputs were distributed to them directly in their communities, on time and at prevailing market price.
All our farmers have prepared their lands and completed planting. they reported an average of 98% germination rate. Looking forward to a bountiful harvest.
